We first met back in 2003 when our families both went on a skiing holiday in Switzerland. Both families became great friends and regularly met up during the school holidays for many years after.

Aaron’s family moved back to New Zealand in 2014 to be with the rest of their family. We fell out of touch until 2019 when Aaron moved back to England. Ever since then our relationship has grown.

In April 2023 we got engaged on a trip to the Lake District, a place which both of us love going to. On our first morning in the Lake District Aaron arranged for us to get up before first light and drive to a nearby lake to watch the sunrise over the mountains. Once the sun rose above the peaks of the mountains, Aaron got down on one knee and popped the question.

Over two years later, we are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives as husband and wife.
